"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

- Margaret Mead
At Quupe we’re about community.
Community can mean many things, but at Quupe, we define it as finding your tribe of support wherever you go. Our founders are originally from four different countries: China, India, Pakistan, and the United States. In each of their home countries, overconsumption is a problem, and having moved to a brand new country, they know well the value of finding a tribe of one’s own, too. The founders all moved to Vancouver, B.C., where they met during a master’s program at The Centre for Digital Media, and began working on a platform that had the potential to change the way we think about resources and about our communities.
Our vision.
Quupe users will be able to travel anywhere in the world and rent cool things from locals. When they’re at home, they’ll be able to get whatever they might need, whenever they need it.
Our mission.
Quupe's mission is to enable the world to share resources.
Our core philosophy

Simplicity
People have too many things, and also the desire to have new experiences (with things). We make it simple, simple, simple to connect the two. We take care of everything: notifications, geolocation, payments, insurance, and even delivery, if you want it.

Include everyone
Quupe is for every human. The founding team is comprised of two men and two women from four different countries. Our company is, above-all, for the good of people. We believe in democratizing access to resources, and we also believe that racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, and intersectional oppression all suck.

Reduce and re-source
We believe we, society, can make different — and more sustainable — choices about our consumption. Space is at a premium and growing more so every day. Rather than buying something new every time a need arises, why not use the perfectly functional thing that’s sitting in someone’s storage nearby?

Live your life
Most importantly, we make it easy for people to get outside, to take risks, and to try something they’ve never done before. No one should be held back or at a disadvantage by the lack of money, access, resources, or knowledge about where to get things. And now, with Quupe, they no longer will be.
